The Lincoln HS bands have been busy at work for the last 7 weeks getting ready for band festival.  Dr. Max Plank (EMU), Kirk Gronda (Charlotte MS/HS) and Scott Boerma (UofM/MMB) have all come and worked with the kids on their upcoming performance.  I am very excited for the students to perform this upcoming weekend (March 6th at 4 and 6pm-Roseville JHS-Martin Rd.) and hope that all the extra hours have paid off in success for our band program.

Solo and Ensemble festival was a big success as we secured many high ratings.  Parents should look to the Warren Weekly in the coming weeks for a press release.

On a more personal note....this has been a tough year for me.  My wife and I are awaiting the birth of our second child in the next 5-6 weeks and I am finishing up work on my graduate degree.  I sincerely apologize if I have seemed "out of it" and I mean no harm!  I am eternally grateful to the VDBO for their support and hope that the membership will grow soon.  We cannot do anything "extra" without their support.  Parents you are our life line and we need your help!  Please plan on attending the next meeting!

Have a safe and wonderful time at festival!  It is ALWAYS a nice feeling to see so many faces that we know when we walk into the sight reading room!
