Bond Proposal

Election Day - Tuesday, May 6 On Tuesday, May 6, residents in the Van Dyke district will be asked to approve a bond proposal to provide funding for improvements to district facilities. The funding will provide for school building safety and security upgrades, technology enhancements to support curriculum initiatives, adequate support facilities such as cafeteria and gymnasium spaces and student-focused resources, including improved classrooms and other amenities to support quality instructional programs. It is crucial that Van Dyke Public Schools provide facilities that support changing curriculum and expanding technology, ensure or schools remain a competitive choice for our students and proactively respond to the needs for enhanced security and safety in our schools. Major goals of the bond include:

The passage of the $62,600,000 bond issue is important to the future of Van Dyke Public Schools. Students will have the benefit of learning in schools and classrooms that are safe and secure. They will be assured of equity of programs and facilities. Students will be educated in classrooms that are designed to meet curriculum standards and provide them with the knowledge and skills they will need to participate in an increasingly competitive global society.
