Parents/Guardians:
As the new school year begins, now is the time to
start
thinking about your involvement with your kids at LHS. If your son
or daughter is involved in sports in any way, we are asking for
your
help by joining the Athletic Booster Club. What will this
entail you
ask? Besides a $2.00 membership fee, a few meetings throughout
the year, and a few hours of your time over the school year working
during various sporting activities. NOT DURING YOUR CHILD’S
ACTIVITIES, but during an activity they don’t participate in;
for example,
if your son plays football, you may want to volunteer for girls
basketball,
if your daughter swims, volunteer for football games, etc. The best
part of volunteering your time for these activities, besides showing
support for your child is, you’re able to see how great our staff
works,
and most of all you get to know the students and parents you child
goes to school with, and see first hand how hard these students work
to do their best for their team and school and how good of an
athlete
they really are. REMEMBER, our children still need our
support at
these activities to cheer them on to become winners.
This year the Van
Dyke Athletic Boosters are sponsoring a
“WARREN LINCOLN ATHLETIC CLUB”. In order to join
this “elite”
group of booster club members, we are asking for a donation of
$65.00
for a Black Membership or $90.00 for a Red Membership, to Lincoln
High Schools athletic program for girls and boys. You will receive
gift(s) just by joining, and have the opportunity to purchase
additional
gifts at reasonable prices. This is only offered to “WARREN
LINCOLN
ATHLETIC CLUB MEMBERS”. Please take time to read the remainder
of this letter to better understand our program.
Please help support
LHS students! Think about this--if each
family put in just a few hours of their time this year, we can
raise
money and do great things for our kids.
