August 15, 2013 Tips for Parents
We hope this summer has been an enjoyable and restful one. We would like to highlight some items to you, as our stakeholders, as we plan for another exciting year on Lincoln High School Campus.
The 2013/2014 school year will begin for students on Tuesday, September 3, 2013. On the first day, students will attend all their classes with dismissal at 11:17 a.m. I am honored and excited about not only having the opportunity to work with staff and students, but also the opportunity to develop relationships with parents, our school community, and the business community. Below are the Goals we are asking ALL Stakeholders to embrace and to commit to for success in the 2013-14 school year:
1. We are a campus of Thinkers
2. We have a culture where all students deserve the opportunity to be Successful
3. We use Evidence-Based practices.
4. We work together as a TEAM
We want you to know our commitment at Lincoln High School is to developing a positive culture that is conducive to learning and to be a school community that is built on trust and hard work. As we begin to work together I want you to know my dedication to developing your children into positive members in our community. In order to achieve this, we must provide our children with some essential skills and tools that will be needed in today’s society, including:
1. Continuous learning
2. Problem solving
3. Conflict resolution
4. Technology literate
6. Team building
These are a few of the essential skills that our children will need in order to be competitive in a global economy. Lincoln High School is committed to developing programs and curriculum that will provide our children with the enrichment and learning experience that will be needed to be successful citizens regardless of their chosen field of endeavor.
I look forward to having the opportunity to meet you. Please feel free to contact me at (586) 758-8306. Thanks again for giving us at Lincoln High School the opportunity to educate your child and have a great year.
For Kids Always,
