Please find information related to the soft lock down this morning by opening the link below

March 2, 2026

Hello LHS families,

This morning at approximately 8:00 a.m., we received a report of an inappropriate message written in one of the student restrooms. Out of an abundance of caution, the school was placed in a soft lockdown while we investigated to ensure the safety of everyone in the building.

School administration, in collaboration with the Warren Police Department, conducted individualized bag checks and screenings in the classrooms using handheld detection wands. In addition, K-9 units from both our contracted security provider and the Warren Police Department performed interior and exterior sweeps of the building.

Following a thorough investigation, it was determined that the building is clear and there is no threat to students or staff. The district takes all potential threats seriously and will err on the side of caution. Our established safety procedures enable us to respond promptly and thoroughly to situations as they arise.

While we cannot control the actions of an individual, please know that we remain committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our children and staff each day. The individual responsible for the message will face disciplinary action in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and, if applicable, law enforcement guidelines.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me or a member of the administrative team.

Sincerely,

Michael J. Harris

Principal
