Joint the Summer Reading Program at Warren Library!

HEY SENIORS! You can purchase PROM TICKETS at the high school starting Wednesday, May 1st! They are $65/person and $75 for a guest. PROM TICKETS will be sold at the high school, you may get them in the front office. GUESTS ARE REQUIRED to have permission from their home school, you cannot purchase a ticket for a guest until they have that permission slip signed & faxed to the high school. Remember you must have all of your classes completed for graduation by May 17th, to attend prom & commencement/graduation on June 3rd~please DO YOUR BEST TO FINISH if you haven't already... CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SENIORS (AND JUNIORS) WHO HAVE ALREADY FINISHED ALL OF THEIR REQUIRED COURSES FOR GRADUATION!!!!

ATTN: Seniors & Parents of Seniors: Opportunities from Sallie Mae and Thurgood Marshall College Fund The Sallie Mae Fund is again offering its Bridging the Dream Scholarship for High School Students, increasing the number of scholarships awarded from 25 to 40. High school seniors who are planning to pursue a two or four-year degree program, professional certificate, or vocational training program and excel both inside and outside the classroom – and demonstrate financial need – will be selected to receive up to $10,000 to help pay for higher education. Additionally, The Sallie Mae Fund is offering its Bridging the Dream Scholarship for Graduate Students, awarding up to $10,000 to 10 graduate students committed to leveraging their graduate degree to advance social justice and support their local communities. To be eligible, applicants must be currently enrolled at least half-time in an accredited graduate level program. The Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program is part of a multimillion-dollar commitment made by The Sallie Mae Fund to open doors to higher education for students from all backgrounds and give families and students the help they need to feel confident about paying for college. In addition to The Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program, we connect students to millions of scholarships through this free resource, Scholly by Sallie and assist them in filing the FAFSA. The application window for both The Bridging the Dream Scholarship for High School Seniors and The Bridging the Dream Scholarship for Graduate Students is open until May 17, 2024.

~Attention Success Academy Parents and Students~ Beginning Tuesday, April 1, 2024: VDPS will be expanding our safety procedures for building visitors. In order to enter any of our district buildings, all adults will need to show a picture ID with name attached*. This will be enforced for all entries. Reminder: To pick up a student, you must be named as an emergency contact/guardian for the student. If you are not able to show a picture ID each time, you will not be allowed to enter our buildings. When arriving, please have your ID ready for us to see upon entering. We appreciate your partnership in keeping our students and staff safe in Van Dyke Public Schools.

SA students and parents: Semester 1 report cards were mailed out on Friday, you should get them soon! Seniors, you have additional information included: your credits earned and your credits to complete for graduation, along with cap and gown instructions. Good luck to everyone as we start semester 2!

The Success Academy is sponsoring a Blanket Drive through January 1. All new blanket donations may be dropped off at the Success Academy. Donations will be given to the Warren Salvation Army.

SA students started their new session of yoga yesterday! Thank you to Ms. Sabrina for leading us through a time of mindfulness and stress management.
