Good afternoon, VDPS Community. The LHS Basketball games vs. New Haven tonight are cancelled due to impending weather events. As much as we all want to see the Abes play, we want everyone's players to be safe - that's a long drive! We do plan to have the wrestling tournament tomorrow at LHS. Be safe and enjoy the long weekend.

Today, Lynzee Mertens (second from left) was able to job shadow at Marlow Family Dental with Kamryn Ivy, LHS Alum (left); Diamond McBride, LHS Alum (second from right); and one other gracious young lady (right). Thank you to Mrs. Lipiec for creating limitless opportunities for our dental assisting students, in school and beyond!

Good morning, Van Dyke Community. The excitement in our buildings is so wintery-fresh you can almost taste it. Today, Tuesday, December 19th, is the last day for students before our holiday break begins. No matter what and how you celebrate, we hope you all enjoy and stay safe. Give out hugs and love all day, every day. We'll see you on January 3rd!
Our School Resource Officer S. Hernden shared how amazing our LHS Students are today, saying, "The holiday season is in full swing with so many families in need. The kiddos at Lincoln High School never cease to amaze me with their selfless acts of kindness. De'Anna Miller (9th grade), Erin Smith (9th grade), LaSondra Ray (9th grade), Neiamiah Terrell (9th Grade), L'oreal Allen (9th grade), and Zammara Satterwhite (9th grade), answered the call for assistance today. 34 bags of clothing were donated to the Lincoln HS Clothing Store and Community Closet. They all asked to help not only unload all the items, they also helped sort some of the donations. If that doesn't warm your heart - students helping those in need, I don't know what will. I have to give a huge "Thank you" to these extraordinary kids for an amazing job well done!"

Our Van Dyke ❤️'s are overwhelmed with gratitude for our Warren Firefighters, First Responders & Warren Meijer Store Staff as they hosted & funded our annual "Shop with a Firefighter"event for 30 students this evening! Thank you to our School Social Workers for helping to organize such a special event!
What are Mrs. Blanchard's snow kids up to this morning? Obviously, they are looking at some VERY old files! ;) I hope they're figuring out how to keep the snow away.
Good afternoon, VDPS families. I wanted to inform you that Lincoln High School, Middle School, and Elementary School were on a brief (roughly one minute) lockdown due to activity in the neighborhood just now. Everyone is safe and the lockdown has been lifted. Thank you to our SROs and the Warren Police!
Get ready for some fun, basketball, and the chance to help others. WE ARE READY in Van Dyke! State Rep Donavan McKinney has helped to organize the first annual Celebrity Charity Basketball Game at Lincoln High School this Saturday, December 15. Check the info below. Doors open at 2:00 for toy donation and entertainment, and the games begin at 4:30.
Car seats can help to save lives! There will be a free car seat inspection this Sunday in Fraser, or you can call to set one up soon. Again, this is free of charge to you. See the flyers for details and have a safe weekend.
CTE is in the news! Last Thursday, The Macomb Daily featured our unique and robust Manufacturing Tech class and new instructor, Mike Winter. Many of our students are pictured learning necessary skills for lifelong careers with our business partners and more. This is just one way our LHS SMTEC students are showing off their readiness skills.
Our students in Ms. Lipiec's Dental Assistant program were able to work with Detroit Mercy Dental last Tuesday, where students were taught how to do dental impressions from university level dental students. It was a great experience and clearly brought out lots of beautiful smiles!
Special Services Department Categorical K-5 classes get together for a Thanksgiving Fall Feast & festivities.....with a special surprise visit from our Warren Firefighters! Such a great time had by all today! HUGE thank you to ALL our amazing staff!
